![]() Stardew Valley is available for Mobile, PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One. However, it's safe to say that hardcore fans generally agree the forest farm map provides a lot of great utility and materials for a standard Stardew Valley playthrough. Players may want to focus on a particular skill or achievement in a given playthrough, and that can easily lead them to choose a different farm map. Players who start a new game with the forest farm map generally have foraging skills much more advanced because of this substantially higher access to forage items.Īll that said, the forest farm is not the objective "best" because there is no true best Stardew Valley map. These mixed seeds can be planted on a farm and grow into various forage items depending on the season they are planted. ![]() Even the weeds on the forest farm are special and spawn Mixed Seeds when destroyed. This access to forage items is helpful for completing the foraging community bundle, quickly boosting the foraging skill, and giving early players something to sell as they wait for more lucrative crops to grow. 1.9K 64K views 10 months ago UNITED KINGDOM I design and create my perfect dream farm in Stardew Valley using the forest farm layout This layout can be challenging due to it's lack. This map also spawns foraging items like mushrooms, fruit, berries, and flowers. I really like four corners and people have been making some great layouts on that map since 1.4, but I have to say that forest is still my favorite. ![]() Berry bushes grow on the forest farm, giving players access to seasonal berries. Hardwood is otherwise only accessible through four renewable stumps in Cindersap forest or disposable logs and mahogany trees, so these eight renewable stumps are incredibly valuable.īut the forest farm is also beneficial to farmers just beginning their journeys. Hardwood is also necessary for farmhouse upgrades and building the stable that allows players access to horses. Not only is hardwood a helpful resource in finishing the Stardew Valley community center bundles, it is also required to craft some crucial items like the cheese press and oil maker. These stumps renew every single day, providing an infinite source of hardwood which is otherwise hard to come by. While early game players won't have access to a strong enough axe to break these stumps, the eight hardwood sources on a forest farm are incredibly valuable after early game. In Stardew Valley, players can obtain wood and hardwood, the latter coming from large stumps and logs. The first, and arguably most significant special trait of the forest farm is its stumps. Many diehard Stardew Valley farmers have tried every map, and feel the forest farm is the most consistently useful thanks to a few special aspects. WATERFALL FOREST MAPS ARE NOW AVAILABLE ON STARDEW PLANNER. But one of the most beloved things about Stardew Valley is its replayability, giving players the chance to start new save files and romance different characters, explore new friendships and skills, and test out different farm maps. Starting from the 3.0.0 update you can choose between playing on Waterfall Forest (WaFF) or Waterfall Forest Large Edition (WaFFLE) The maps now appear as new farm types (when selecting your farm, there will be an arrow showing additional farms). It offers a lot of useable land for crops and buildings, and doesn't do much else. We're just starting out on a beach farm, and that one's an interesting layout to work with. It's common for new Stardew Valley players to choose the standard farm on their first playthrough. ![]() The forest farm we've got is pretty fun too, and I may do a solo version of one in the future. Don't know if I'd like it as much for a solo game because there's so much space for so much stuff that it could feel overwhelming. I've played the four corners with and I love using that layout for a co-op game. ![]() It too has a generous amount of space for crab pots as well as paddy crops. It's got a lot more wide open space than my other two solo farms, which made it a little tougher to plan the layout without the landscape essentially making some decisions for me. It was a bit dicey at first, defending myself with my scythe because I didn't have a proper weapon, but after getting a weapon the monster drops are pretty great. My third solo farm, which I started after the update so that I could experience all the new stuff from the beginning, is a wilderness farm. While the fishing isn't great, there's loads of space for crab pots and paddy crops. While the layout is a bit more challenging to work with, I have moved and rearranged some things since I started to make things as efficient as possible. I love being able to fish so close to home, panning is plentiful, and filling a watering can is super convenient. ![]()
